About Us

Founded in 2008 in New York City, The Lucky Artist Theater Company is a collective of theater people from all sorts of artistic backgrounds. Our common denominator is a strong belief that theater should be thought provoking as well as entertaining, and that the two need not be mutually exclusive. We welcome experimentation, seek out bigger bolder risks and strive to create innovative unpredictable theater. 

In addition to our artistic values, we put extra care and effort into creating a positive working environment that fosters a supportive realm and an artistically satisfying process for all of our artists. 

We think that the best artistic products are enhanced by a theatrically divese company. With that in mind, our company consists of not just actors, directors and playwrights, but also stage managers, techs, designers and various theatrical hybrids, all treated as the intergral part of the artistic process that they are.
